Hey It’s me

Happy Weeekend!

Feeling nostalgic and writing.

Copy-ing the sweetest words from Handmade In Malaysia gang and take a chance to re-introduce myself.

“Hello, I am Ana.

I love to explore new things.

I started on crochet and some basic knitting when I was 14 and have been doing when time allowed it. Then, I started working as a broadcaster and continued with retail fashion for almost 10 years, in which I had forgotten about my hobbies.

Fortunately, I rediscovered them when I moved to Kuala Lumpur and quit my job. I created Anyabeya in 2012. Anyabeya is what my friends used to call me when we were young, so I decided to use it.

Anyabeya is a handmade line made from yarn or textile using crochet, knitting and sewing. I started off with neckpieces, such as necklaces and scarves, and eventually expanded to handbags and home decor.

I always try to add my signature to my work such as bows, tassels and pompoms. Anyabeya is not only handmade, it is made with love and I want to bring smiles, happiness and FUN to whoever who owns a piece of Anyabeya’s collection.

I’m obsessed with yarn, tulle, lace and cotton fabrics and they are incorporated into my work. I’m also a big fan of polka dots, stripes and PINK!

My creation is like a jar of happiness, please drop by to chat and hope you enjoy all the flavours.

Back then, I was enjoying bazaar, sell things, met people and creating.

Here’s a glimpse of anyabeya’s creation. As you can see colors and lots of colors.

Along the way, I am exploring more about yarn crafting and when my family relocated back to Indonesia, i decided to start fresh with FLAIR, the new brand that telling story about yarn crafting goods.

Exploring all the possibility and let it grow. Crochet is always be my favorite, but weaving, latch hook, embroidery and punch needle technique are the things that caught my attention.

Developing new skills, take a leap from makers to teacher as well. Yay.

Maturity take place as well and more colors added to it.

I am in happy place now with FLAIR.

Please pay visit to my instagram if you have a chance.

Xoxo,

Weave and Weave

Year passed by and Weaving never feel so good.

I develop my skill and addiction toward this technique.

Weaving is really a process that I enjoy. It calm my busy mind and simply sit, listen to music while doing it.

It’s my non moving method of being alone and do my thing.

And the best part of it, I get a chance to share this infectious yarn crafting virus and meet many people. A winner.

To celebrate this happy feelings, I decided to share the handout that I am using in class.

It’s just a simple few pages to get to know Weaving.

And hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Happy Weaving

Love Crochet

I always have on and off relationship with my yarn. Most of the time i would say, well i haven’t got any idea for my next project (read : item to made) or the house is in a mess, so i don’t have time to create something yet (the fact that most of the time my house is messy, thanks to little mr who expand his play area to… Practically everywhere – but he/his father will clean it up in the end)

Looking at my old collection usually work to bring back my mood.
So without further a due, i’m proudly present one of neckpiece, a chunky knitted neckwarmer. It can be worn as shawl, or cape.

Enjoy! 😉

Superfun Bazaar

This is a late post of my first and only bazaar few months ago.
Me and my 2 other good friends are sharing booth and we sold handmade accessories from necklace to table cloth, bracelet to clutch.

It was super fun because i had a chance to introduce my creation and the best part was spending 2 full days catching up with my good friends, yeay (we are living in different country).

On the first day i only sold one hairband (to my friend who share the booth with me LOL), but i did spend some times (and money) checking out the other booths at the bazaar (should blame the super deal yarn sale).

Anyway on the second day, i got to meet some people who finally love my accessories (and i could earn back the money that i spent on the first day for yarn ^^)

I look forward to find this kind of opportunity in the future :))
