A la boulangerie

Not so long a go (when I was slightly younger), i dream to be a food critic. Going around one fancy restaurant to another one, café, homemade cuisine, trying out different food in different place and writing a review about it.
Well, thanks to Julia Roberts aka Jules in My Best Friend’s wedding who inspired me to be that person. :))

Instead of growing as food critic writer, i become a retailer employee (and happy with the unforgettable expensive experience) and now trying my luck with my own accessories line. Well enough said, not gonna talk about myself now.

Few days a go, i went to one of my favorite boulangerie.
I love this place since i was living in Jakarta (sneaking out from the store to buy one or two bread – oopss sorry boss – because i often brought my store manager/supervisor or any person in charge with me.. Bad example hehehe).

Je peux venir ici tous les jours, le gâteaux est délicieux.

Yes my dear, it is tous les jours.
Originale korean cafe shop/bakery/cakes store.

They are not paying me to promote the place (look at the line already, like they need me to promote them) but i really love the place.

Love the bread, love the cakes, love the coffee, love the place.

This is my one of a kind “make it worth” cheating from healthy daily routines.

If only they had a gluten free range. That will be perfect.
Hmmm… Should i write a note for them?? 😉

Anyway,
Please find below some of the pictures that will tell you about the place.

I took this picture at bukit bintang branch.
They have 2 outlet, one in bangsar (the first one) and bukit bintang.

Enjoy!!

*ikea fish is fried fish that we buy in a restaurant infront of ikea.
And ikea is like 20 min away from our home.
My son usually asking for something for his breakfast before his bedtime.
He always think that i am somekind of chef restaurant that able to provide everything.
From waffle to eggs, springroll and porridge, muffin, cake, pudding.
New idea always pop out from his tiny little head.

My smart boy, keep amuse me everyday.

Mama love you.

Me and myself and my little family

Being a fulltime mom and wife of course, sounds like a luxurious job. But, i really have to admit that it is the hardest job that i ever take in my life.

Well, spending 24/7 doing the exact same thing. Cleaning, tidying up the house and yes, every mom knows the long list hahaha.

At first it feel soo gooodd, yeay finally staying at home, no need to think about our stressful busy work to do.

But then, another stressful busy work in some other form appear.
Never ending dirty dishes and ironing clothes!!

Sometimes my 5yo son will give me a teasing look when he saw me wearing fancy clothes while doing all the daily task.

Mommy can not look good at home huh little boy??
:p

Anyway, between the crazy dirty dishes and clothes and iron board, i have to admit that being a fulltime mommy and wife is the best job that i ever take.

I admire all working mom who can share their energy for home and office. Sometimes i wish i were one of them just like before.

But for now, i am proudly saying that being a stay at home mom is one of a kind job.

You must know how to manage the whole house in one day and yes re-do it everyday.

You must know how to cheer your boy up when he feel sad and yet fixing his broken construction vehicle (thanks to yarn and glue and creativity)

You must know how to make your picky eater boy eat those hidden veggies.

Juggling between his school time to clean up the whole house of grocery shopping.

Yes grocery shopping alone is FUN!
And sneaking to have a cup of latte afterward.

You must know where is the laptop/handphone charger at all times.
Hubby keep on misplace it.
Bless my lovely forgetful husband.

He went home on my birthday with big smile and gave me a NECK massager while i specifically said that a piece of jewelry or shoes will be nice as gift.

I am far from being the very well organize stepford wives but i know very well that i am a happy stay at home mom who struggling everyday with my daily routine and trying so hard not to be crazy.

Oh I love my little monster family.

Trying to be healthier

Keeping this blog alive is the same as keeping good habit alive. Veryyyy hard to do :)))

One of my resolution for this year is being healthier.
I just realize that maintain a good habit such as eat healthy food (and cooking) is not as easy as we thought.
A lot of extra work (well, have to admit very easy to come to restaurant and order food without knowing the quality of the ingredients, the oil etc).

I come out with few tips to enjoy your Extra work in cooking healthy food :
1. Go to the local farmers market. If you could not find one, just go to supermarket who provide wide selection or organic veggies and fruits.
Spend time to look around and do not shopping when you are in a rush.
Who knows you might find a good bargain stuffs in the corner 😉

2. Clean your veggies and fruits as soon as you arrive at home and place it in container/storage box.
Sometimes one of the reason we feel lazy to cook is the preparation. Cleaning the veggies is one step ahead so you can use it anytime.

3. Find something that you like. I have unhealthy obsession on cute kitchen utensil (especially polkadots).
Knowing that i will be able to use them, taking pictures of it somehow motivate me to spend more time in the kitchen.
So, find something that will make you happy.
Cute apron, lovely plates, or maybe nice printing napkin.

Knowing that we are being nice to our body by giving them healthy food is precious right?

Happy cooking!!
